The US Department of Transportation recently announced $1.5 billion of BUILD grant awards throughout the county for the construction of highways, bridges, public transportation systems, passenger and freight rails and port infrastructure.

Spring Hill received the maximum allowable amount, and the only grant awarded in Tennessee.

You can learn more about the next steps of this project HERE and learn more about the BUILD grant HERE

The interchange will be built as a diverging diamond (DDI) a new style for Middle Tennessee. DDI’s are capable of handling higher traffic volumes, and are safer, than traditional interchange designs. If you’d like to see how to navigate a DDI: watch THIS VIDEO

Interested in serving the City?

In January, the Board of Mayor and Alderman will appoint a citizen to serve three years on the Parks and Rec Commission.

The Parks and Rec Commission is charged with assisting the BOMA in developing and executing master plans for all of Spring Hill’s recreational facilities, greenways, trails and parks.

The City owns 45 undeveloped acres of land near Derryberry Rd and Rice Rd reserved for park land in addition of the 48 acres of land recently donated to the City for park land / open space. The Parks and Rec Commission will play a key role in overseeing how these properties are utilized going forward.
