Sale of Northfield Building


Situated on the southern border of Spring Hill, the Northfield building is the former headquarters of the Saturn Corporation. The Northfield building is currently owned by the City of Spring Hill and houses the City’s Planning and Codes Departments along with several private companies who lease space from the City.


The potential buyer of the 350,000 square foot facility is a Nashville-based entertainment group who desires to re-purpose the facility into a premier venue for the production and rehearsals of major music concerts and touring. Major concerts and tours require significant space to design and construct the elaborate set designs that are now common throughout the industry. The opportunity to have 8+ acres of indoor space that can fully support all of the unique needs of the touring industry is unmatched.


In addition to performance space, the new facility would contain ancillary businesses such as set design, audio and lighting companies, and the many other providers that support the concert touring industry. The new space would dwarf anything available in the regional Nashville market for concert preparations and rehearsals.


In fact, only one facility of similar scale and scope currently exists in the United States. Located just outside of Lancaster, PA, Rock Litiz has become a hub of live event production and has been featured in numerous national publications. The new facility at Northfield would be a direct competitor and provide much needed space for concert creation and production in Music City.


Sale of the Northfield building will produce significant ongoing economic activity within Spring Hill, and make Spring Hill the focal point of major concert production in the United States.


A final vote on whether or not to sell the property will be March 2nd.





$25 million is A LOT of money.


Spring Hill BOMA voted to issue $25M worth of bonds to fund the local portion of the new Buckner Rd Interchange project. The Federal BUILD grant of $25,000,000 certainly relieves a significant financial burden, but local funding will be needed to complete the project.


In 2017, Spring Hill approved a first of it’s kind Special Assessment District as part of the Alexander Farm re-zone. The proceeds from this District will be collected as the property develops and can be used to satisfy any outstanding bonds. The District will raise between $13.5. and $14M.

Ambulance Services Awarded


BOMA voted Tuesday night to award a 5 year ambulance service contract to Williamson County EMS.


Williamson EMS will provide services to all of Spring Hill – both Williamson and Maury county.


This change form the current provide will elevate the level of care provided to Spring Hill. Williamson EMS does not provide concierge transportation services, meaning that all EMS units will be available solely for emergency medical care.
